About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Southern Renewals Enterprise Commercial team at Octavius Infrastructure. As a key player in the Southern Renewals Enterprise (SRE), we are responsible for delivering Electrification and Plant (E&P) renewals across the Southern region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the commercial management of a variety of projects, working closely with customers and stakeholders to support successful project delivery, compliant with contractual terms, and achieve business plan commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with our supply chain partners and manage all costs related to projects in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Build, develop, and strengthen relationships with projects, clients, and commercial team members to enable commercial performance objectives to be achieved.

Requirements:

  • Extensive recurring success in a Quantity Surveying role, working on multiple and large projects, in a Rail environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of monitoring cost performance of projects and contract administration.
  • Evidence of building effective relationships with teams and demonstrable experience of coaching, mentoring, and managing people.
  • Good level IT proficiency and a thorough knowledge of cost management software and tools.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related course (or equivalent qualification/relevant experience).
