Job Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Children's Home Manager to lead a residential children's home. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, promoting a positive culture, and providing strong leadership to the care team.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all aspects of the residential children's home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are maintained.
- Lead, inspire, and manage a dedicated team of staff, providing supervision, guidance, and support.
- Develop and implement individual care plans and risk assessments for each child, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
- Maintain effective communication with children, families, external agencies, and professionals involved in their care.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
- Manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment that values diversity and respects the rights of children and young people.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of service delivery, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Proven experience as a Deputy or Registered Manager in a Children's Residential Home
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification) or working towards.
- Sound knowledge of Ofsted legislation, regulations, and best practices in childcare.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
