Job Title: Social Worker
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our Foster Care Team in the Children, Education and Justice Services department. As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for developing and sustaining a range of family-based care placements to meet the needs of children and young people.
Main Responsibilities:
- Recruit, assess, and supervise foster carers to ensure children and young people receive care that meets their needs and is trauma-informed.
- Develop and sustain effective working relationships with Practice Team colleagues and other professionals to ensure services are responsive to need.
- Take an active role in service delivery and planning to ensure that care provided to children and young people is safe and upholds their rights.
- Support the FBC Intake duty service on a rota basis with an identified Team Leader.
- Casework responsibility and developmental tasks such as carer training, support groups, or panel roles.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child welfare and protection principles, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, and provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check if applicable.
