Immediate Opportunity for Mechanical Design Engineers

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Automation Experts Ltd. As a respected employer in the industry, we provide complete solutions to highly regulated sectors.

Our client has recently secured prestigious new projects in the power generation sector, involving the design, testing, and installation of high-integrity mechanical plant and systems. Positions are available from engineer to principal level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage engineering projects to ensure technically compliant designs through to manufacture
  • Produce and verify fit-for-purpose design and calculations
  • Deliver projects within allocated budgeted cost and timescales
  • Manage project design teams for senior engineers
  • Supervise, verify, and produce design deliverables
  • Coordinate design with other engineering disciplines
  • Implement UK H&S legislation and design standards
  • Identify and include bought-out plant and equipment
  • Present and participate in HAZOP and design reviews
  • Liaise with manufacturing, testing, and commissioning personnel to ensure defined optimisation

Requirements:

  • HNC qualified with proven experience of front-end design
  • Conversant with British and European technical and legislative standards
  • Previous experience of concept design of special-purpose, mechanical handling, robot automation, or assembly lines will be highly advantageous using Inventor or another 3D design package

Please note that due to the nature of projects, this client can only accept applications from engineers who hold a British Passport or are eligible to obtain one.

This role offers hybrid working - 3 days office, 2 from home. The office is located in the North West, commutable from Warrington, Widnes, Irlam, Altrincham, and Leigh.
