About the Role

HCRG Care Group is seeking a skilled Nursing Associate to join our healthcare team at HMP Chelmsford. As a key member of our Pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medication in accordance with local SOPs and ensure accurate and timely dispensing of prescriptions.
  • Assist in the implementation and development of pharmacy support services across the prison, including advising patients on medication use and maintaining comprehensive records.
  • Monitor and update medication charts, reconcile medicines, and undertake risk assessments for prisoners with in-possession medication.
  • Collect orders from suppliers, arrange collection of returns, and participate in dispensing prescriptions.

Person Specification

We are seeking a candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build and develop relationships. Strong customer service skills and the ability to work autonomously are essential. Registered Nursing Associate or awaiting PIN membership is required. Experience in a prison environment is highly desirable but not essential.
