At Amazon, we're looking to bring on a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our Retail team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for identifying and onboarding new supplier opportunities.

We're seeking an experienced professional who can work at the centre of the Amazon flywheel, utilizing data to identify selection gaps that are most important to customers across multiple categories. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strong relationships with suppliers who can provide this selection and account managing these suppliers to ensure a successful launch and ongoing growth.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing and growing supplier relationships with a proven track record of exceeding sales goals. They will also need to work closely with cross-functional internal teams to identify opportunities and best practices within areas such as category, customer marketing, product set-up, supply chain, and advertising.

This role will involve working autonomously to identify the right solutions for suppliers and taking ownership of new supplier recruitment from prospecting to account management post-launch. The Supply Chain Manager will also be required to own C-suite level negotiations that enable the onboarding of new suppliers and educate new suppliers on Amazon's tools and systems.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand market trends across multiple categories to identify the most relevant selection for customers
  • Owning new supplier recruitment including end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to account management post-launch
  • Owning C-suite level negotiations that enable the onboarding of new suppliers
  • Educating new suppliers on Amazon's tools and systems to enable them to become self-sufficient in managing their catalog, inventory, and performance
  • Achieving business and financial objectives to drive growth of Amazon's Retail business
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the Retail business for suppliers through scalable solutions and manage the roll-out of these solutions
  • Working closely with category, marketing, supply, product, and other key internal Amazon stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrated track record of success in meeting and exceeding business and/or financial KPIs
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional internal and external audiences
  • Ability to work with a wide range of people at all decision-making levels, including C-suite
  • Experience with large data sets and insight generation using Excel, SQL, or other data analysis tools
