Job Title: Security Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Specialist to join our team at Hoare Lea. As a Security Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with client and stakeholder engagement to establish project security requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop threat and risk assessments and identify associated security operational requirements that underpin the development of technical security designs.
- Develop physical and electronic security solutions aligned to approved security strategies, including the production of technical specifications, engineering drawings, and stage-specific reports.
- Liaise with wider design teams to coordinate security requirements of projects.
- Attend client meetings as part of our delivery teams.
- Proactively participate as part of the Hoare Lea security engineering team in developing approaches to project delivery to support continued team growth.
Requirements
- An expected or achieved 2.1 degree in engineering or similar, with a masters or other relevant postgraduate qualification being an advantage.
- A good working knowledge of engineering drawing and modelling tools such as CAD and REVIT.
- An understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work.
- Previous experience in a role within the built environment would be preferable.
- A technical understanding of electronic security systems would be preferable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment with tight deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
- Able to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) before appointment and National Security Vetting at, as a minimum, SC level when in post.
