We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior to join our team in Durham. As a Tax Senior, you will be responsible for providing excellent taxation compliance, advisory, and planning services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support a varied portfolio of clients, providing taxation compliance, advisory, and planning services
* Prepare personal tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, and individuals with rental income
* Prepare capital gains tax computations within self-assessment returns
* Ensure HMRC compliance with relevant statutory requirements, liaising directly with them on clients' behalf
* Work closely with Senior Managers and Partners to ensure service excellence across the team
* Research regularly to interpret changes in tax laws and regulations
* Nurture meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues alike
* Mentor and guide junior staff by reviewing work and knowledge sharing

Requirements:

* ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified, part-qualified, or with the desire to begin studying
* Proven track record of working in a tax role within UK practice
* Highly personable and an excellent communicator, both on paper and in person
* Excellent understanding of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
* Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and colleagues
* Well organised and confident managing own workload autonomously
* Good at working under pressure to meet deadlines, budgets, and targets
* Self-motivated, professional, and reliable
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, etc
* An enthusiasm to progress within the firm, undertaking continuous professional development
