About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Crime Analyst to join our team at AJ Bell Management Limited. As a key member of our Financial Crime Prevention team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of our Financial Crime programme.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the Financial Crime Manager/MLRO with the development and implementation of the Financial Crime programme, focusing on improving AML, CTF, and Fraud processes.
  2. Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) to assess and mitigate financial crime risks, in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  3. Identify cases where EDD is necessary to mitigate risk and fully understand customers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Carry out investigations into financial crime concerns, including AML/CTF, and report to the relevant external bodies as required.
  5. Draft and update Financial Crime policies and procedures for review by the Financial Crime Manager/MLRO.
  6. Support the Financial Crime Manager with the ongoing training and development of the wider team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to prevent financial crime.
  7. Support the development and delivery of financial crime training for the wider business, ensuring all employees understand their role in preventing financial crime.
About You

We are looking for an experienced Financial Crime Prevention professional with a strong background in AML/CTF and Tax evasion in financial services. You will have a good understanding of financial crime regulation, including the Financial Crime Handbook and JMLSG.

You will be able to identify and support the implementation of improvements around AML/CTF, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
