Procurement Category Manager - IT

Breedon Group plc, a leading vertically-integrated construction materials group in Great Britain and Ireland, is seeking a skilled Procurement Category Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement operations, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective procurement strategies that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Procurement Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy that includes policy formulation, process improvement, and system enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted partner across the business, providing strategic insights and ensuring stakeholder alignment on procurement objectives.
  • Project Leadership: Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle, leading cross-functional teams to deliver on key procurement projects.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Oversee supplier performance, ensuring compliance and fostering innovation and ethical sourcing within the supply chain.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in Procurement Category Management, particularly in IT, with a proven track record of strategic planning and project delivery.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to influence and communicate effectively across various levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to handle complex challenges and drive substantial business improvements.
