Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cell Leader to join our team at Omega Resource Group. As a Cell Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of manufacturing professionals to achieve production targets and deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and motivate a team of manufacturing professionals to achieve production targets and deliver high-quality products.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Support and conduct employee relations meetings, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
  • Manage employee performance, recognizing good performance and addressing poor performance.
  • Support the delegation of workload, manage breaks and absence, and supervise daily operational needs.
  • Manage attendance and control absence, ensuring all required documentation is completed.
  • Cascade information to direct reports, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Ensure team members are fully trained and compliant with HSE processes and procedures.
  • Plan and support recruitment, selection, and induction needs for the team.
  • Define and communicate employee roles and responsibilities.
  • Deliver individual training plans with succession in mind and manage resources to flex and adapt to team requirements.
  • Carry out regular employee appraisals and support growth and development needs.
  • Engage with team members for innovation and idea generation to improve day-to-day processes.
  • Support employee engagement, empowerment, and morale.
  • Actively support and promote personal development through coaching and mentoring sessions.

Requirements:

  • IOSH Managing Safety Qualification
  • CMI/ILM Level 3 or equivalent leadership qualification
  • First Aid
  • Risk Assessment, COSHH, and Permit to Work
  • Fire Marshall
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Proven managerial experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing techniques and experience in problem-solving (Lean and CI)
  • Lean Sigma White Belt
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and computer literacy
  • Strong communication skills
  • People/Team Development
