Acies, part of RSK Group, is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Lead to join their Civils team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for the in-house management of the Civil Engineering elements of structural projects, including the preparation of technical design from concept stages through to construction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Civil Engineering, with experience in design consultancy for commercial/industrial projects. They will be responsible for the preparation of technical design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and reports. The successful candidate will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience of team leading and/or client-facing roles.

The role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a contributory pension scheme, private medical insurance, and 23 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work as part of a team or as an individual, with occasional stays away from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drainage design in accordance with the most up-to-date standards
  • Preparation of Section 104, Section 106, and Section 185 agreements
  • Preparation of design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and reports

Requirements:

  • MEng/MSc/BEng/BSc Hons Civil or Civil and Structural Engineering
  • CEng in ICE or IStructE
  • Proven post-graduate experience in design consultancy for commercial/industrial projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of team leading and/or client-facing roles
