About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pharmacy Advisor to join our team at Boots Opticians. As a Pharmacy Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient-centred care and delivering the technical aspects of the dispensary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide health advice to patients through focussed conversations, ensuring they leave the pharmacy feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
  • Deliver the technical aspects of the dispensary, including ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
  • Comply with legal and professional requirements and accepted guidance on professional practice in Boots.
  • Engage with GPs and practice teams to promote services and items.
  • Deliver efficient dispensary operations and minimize dispensing losses.

Requirements

  • Either an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services or working towards and having completed the first year of an Mpharm course at university.
  • Completed a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent to work in our dispensaries.
  • Will support development to complete our training within 6 months of joining us.
  • Opportunity to develop professional career and achieve competency and knowledge-based NVQ Level 3 (QCF) qualification in Pharmacy Services.
