Workshop Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Engineer to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD. As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our range of heavy tracked plant machines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and diagnose technical problems with equipment
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure machinery is in peak operating condition
  • Work at height, beneath, and within all plant machines
  • Repair and maintain machines using lifting equipment supplied
  • Drive and move machines inside and outside of the workshop
  • Servicing of a wide variety of machines within the workshop
  • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Complete job cards to a high standard promptly and within a given timeframe
  • Complete paperwork and timesheets in a timely manner
  • Request parts efficiently and effectively
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Supervise other workshop engineers, when required, to ensure a high quality of work and safe working procedure is maintained
Requirements:
  • 3+ years experience in a similar role
  • Solid mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to service a wide range of heavy tracked plant machines
  • Investigate and diagnose technical problems, which involve climbing on top and underneath the heavy plant machinery
Remuneration:
  • Salary: £15-£18 an hour (potentially £19 an hour)
  • Working hours: 40 hours a week
  • Overtime available x1.5
  • Holiday Package: 22 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays
