About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and solution-oriented Backend Developer to join our dynamic Data Engineering team on site at one of our engagements.

This role plays a critical part in designing, building, and optimising backend systems, focusing on engineering solutions for complex challenges.

Leveraging technologies like C#, .NET Core, and Azure services, the successful candidate will ensure our data ingestion platform and related systems operate at peak efficiency to support large-scale, data-driven operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain backend services and APIs using C#, .NET Core, and Azure.">
  • Engineer solutions to technical challenges related to data ingestion, transformation, and processing at scale.">
  • Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems.">
  • Work with the data ingestion platform team to build robust, configurable systems integrating with Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, and Delta Lake.">
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to optimize CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployment processes.">
  • Support integration with hybrid storage solutions, including Databricks, Snowflake, and SQL databases.">
  • Follow clean coding principles and adhere to SOLID design patterns to produce high-quality, maintainable code.">
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability and stability.">
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and consultants, to align backend systems with business requirements.">

Requirements

Proficiency in C# and .NET Core/Framework for backend development.

Azure Functions, Event Hubs, Logic Apps.

Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and modern storage solutions like Snowflake and Delta Lake.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps or similar tools.

Proven ability to engineer solutions for technical challenges, particularly in high-scale, data-heavy environments.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
