Psychiatric Liaison Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Psychiatric Liaison Nurse to join our team at the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Psychiatric Liaison Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive assessments and care planning for patients with mental health needs
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and effective communication
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient
- Collaborate with patients, families, and carers to ensure informed decision-making and empowerment
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote best practice in mental health care
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a strong background in psychiatric nursing
- Experience in mental health liaison nursing, with a focus on assessment, care planning, and coordination of care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands
- Strong knowledge of mental health legislation, policies, and procedures, with a focus on the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005
