Executive Kitchen Manager

We are seeking an experienced Executive Kitchen Manager to join our team at Admiral Recruitment. As a key member of our school's culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the kitchen, ensuring that high-quality meals are prepared and served to students.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing a professional kitchen environment, with knowledge of cooking techniques, sanitation standards, and nutrition basics.
  • They will also possess excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare fresh food and baking from scratch, including baking fresh bread.
  • Manage ordering and budgeting for the kitchen, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Follow established menus and create new recipes as needed to meet student preferences.
  • Supervise a team of 3-4 members of staff in the kitchen, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operation.
  • Develop rota plans to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing a professional kitchen environment, with knowledge of cooking techniques, sanitation standards, and nutrition basics.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ability to create innovative dishes using fresh ingredients while staying within budgetary constraints.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
