Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving performance improvement across the business, working closely with the business to support the strategic direction, decision making, and insight into commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide regular insight and analysis to support business decision making.
  • Merge financial and non-financial data to present a complete picture for decision making across the team.
  • Support the broader finance team with deep dives and translate key learnings to actions that can be shared across the whole estate.
  • Provide consolidated summaries on business performance to support P&L reviews with senior stakeholders and support weekly KPI management through timely insightful reports.
  • Assess performance of trials and make recommendations on roll outs.
  • Work closely with ADS to ensure accuracy and relevancy of reporting coming from that team, and support them with prioritizing production of new reporting.

Requirements

  • You're obsessed about the Asda Customer and can demonstrate an understanding of the customer across different channels & formats.
  • You're curious and always comfortable asking questions to continually challenge the status quo. Able to translate answers into a 'so what'.
  • You're passionate about your own performance and Asda's – willing to take ownership and be accountable for delivering your piece of the puzzle.
  • You're open to change and embrace a continuous improvement mindset.
  • You want to understand the business, the market and know what will make a difference commercially.
  • You may have a relevant Profession level Finance or Business qualification.
