Mechanical Equipment Technician

In a highly successful and international manufacturer of materials handling equipment, we have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our team. This role is part of our efforts to drive innovation and excellence in the industry. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdowns on a range of forklifts.
This position is ideal for engineers with experience in plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, cars or similar equipment. You should be able to demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally have engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills. The salary for this role is approximately £31,000 - £33,000 per annum, plus benefits such as 6% Employer/4% Employee Pension, Overtime at Time 1.0, 25 Days Holiday, Bank Holidays, Life Assurance, Discount Benefits Scheme, and Uniform.
We offer comprehensive on-the-job training, overtime opportunities, and a chance to progress to roles such as Team Leader, Field Engineer, and Sales Engineer. The Mechanical Fitter role involves:
- Carrying out PDI's, service and repair work on workshop and service basis on a range of forklift trucks.
- Working on a Monday to Friday basis in a busy workshop environment.
- Overtime.
