At Platypus Shoes, we're seeking a motivated and driven Assistant Store Manager to join our team in Christchurch. As a key member of our store leadership team, you'll play a crucial role in driving sales and meeting KPIs, while ensuring the efficient operation of the store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of passionate sales assistants to achieve optimal results in sales targets, KPIs, and store presentation.
  • Motivate and coach your team to maintain high morale and encourage individual development.
  • Monitor store sales and identify areas for improvement to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly targets.
  • Effectively manage wage costs and adhere to company rostering standards.
  • Ensure efficient OH&S management and adhere to state and national OH&S legislation.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Demonstrated experience as a full-time or senior casual sales assistant, key holder, supervisor, or 3IC.
  • A motivated and driven attitude, with a passion for leading and inspiring a team.
  • A proven track record in driving sales and meeting KPIs and targets.
  • Operational excellence and experience with stock control and visual merchandising.
