We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Control Manager to join our team at Thrifty Car & Van Rental. As a leader with a minimum of 5 years' experience in team management and development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing our credit control strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Organising, planning and implementing credit control strategies to ensure timely and effective debt recovery.
- Maintaining precise records and delivering accurate management information to inform business decisions.
- Ensuring adherence to debt collection processes and procedures to minimize risk and maximize returns.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance and optimize credit control processes and procedures.
- Evaluating customer credit and making approval or denial decisions based on industry standards and company policies.
- Approving payment plans and establishing terms and conditions to ensure fair and transparent debt recovery.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to existing team members, encompassing motivation, development, workload monitoring and continuous skill and career advancement.
- Generating high-level Management Information (MI) reports related to debt positions to inform business strategy.
- Liaising with in-house legal counsel when necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in credit control or a related field, with a proven track record of success in debt recovery.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
