About the Job

We are looking for an experienced Point of Care Testing (POCT) Coordinator to join our team and support the roll-out of our Virtual Ward Programme. As a key member of our programme, you will play a vital role in introducing, training, and overseeing point-of-care testing devices used within the Virtual Ward Programme.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the implementation of innovative healthcare delivery systems, enabling patients to receive high-quality hospital-level care from the comfort of their homes. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of POCT within virtual care pathways, supporting clinicians and patients to maximise the benefits of this technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and oversee Point of Care Testing (POCT) systems within the Virtual Ward Programme.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate POCT devices efficiently into patient care.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot POCT equipment, ensuring regular maintenance, quality assurance, and performance audits.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to staff on POCT-related matters.
  • Collect and analyse data on POCT usage, outcomes, and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to local and national policies, regulations, and guidelines regarding point-of-care testing.
