Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Java Backend Developer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient backend services using Java, Spring, Hibernate, and related technologies.
  • Architecting and implementing enterprise-grade APIs and backend services that support our SaaS platform.
  • Defining database structure and composing SQL queries.
  • Conducting code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and security.
  • Utilizing GitHub for version control.
  • Implementing and managing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline development processes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and sustainability experts to deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 5+ years of experience as a Java Backend Developer, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
  • Expertise in Web development, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with a proactive and positive approach to challenges.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience of working in a start-up highly desired.
