We are seeking a skilled Conservation Inspector to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As part of our North West Development Advice Team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on proposals for change in the historic environment. This role requires a strong understanding of relevant Government policy, guidance, and statutory procedures for the historic environment in the planning system. You will collaborate with colleagues across teams and draw on regional and national specialists as needed. This position also involves conducting site visits, which may require climbing scaffolding and navigating confined spaces. The ideal candidate will have a broad experience in managing change to ancient monuments and archaeological landscapes, including through the planning system. They will also have a good understanding of scheduled monument consent and management advice for designated heritage assets and archaeological landscapes. We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around £40,000-£50,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
