Job Description

We're seeking a talented Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our library engineering team, you'll be responsible for creating high-quality electronic component models using our advanced EDA software.

Your mission will be to analyze datasheets, validate data extracted by our preprocessing algorithms, and enter engineering constraints. You'll collaborate with our team to devise clever ways to model novel electronic components and inform the work of our internal software development team to enable faster and more reliable digital twin creation processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Rapidly create high-quality electronic component models using our cutting-edge EDA software.
  2. Analyze datasheets and validate data extracted by our preprocessing algorithms.
  3. Enter engineering constraints and collaborate with the library engineering team to devise clever ways to model novel electronic components.
  4. Inform the work of the internal software development team to enable faster and more reliable digital twin creation processes.
  5. Provide input into the way components are represented and report component features that are not currently in our representation.
  6. Offer ideas on simplifying the current abstractions.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in electronics circuit design.
  • Proficiency in selecting components for analogue, digital, and mixed signal circuit boards.
  • Knowledge of schematic design principles for analogue, digital, and mixed signal circuit boards.
  • Experience with at least one professional electronic CAD software package (Mentor, Cadence, Altium, Zuken) and willingness to learn others.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Ability to work productively in a team.
  • Ability to use Excel.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience in schematic capture and/or component selection for relatively complex circuit boards: 100+ components, 4+ layers, high-speed digital signals, sensitive analog components.
  • Experience in circuit analysis such as timing analysis, transient analysis, DC operating point calculations.
  • Experience in circuit simulation and/or modelling.
  • Knowledge of PCB layout principles for analogue, digital, and mixed signal circuit boards.
  • Experience with creating and verifying component symbols and footprints.
