Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Remote Pilot to join our team at Sonomatic RAIS. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work with cutting-edge drone technology and contribute to the growth of our business.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 year's experience in Oil & Gas, Visual Inspection, or Surveying/photogrammetry. They will also possess strong knowledge of Client/HSE requirements and commercially available reporting software.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting UAV flight operations, data capture, and field validation. You will also support the implementation of AUAV training and initiatives, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement and compliance within our Company.

The ideal candidate will have experience in computer-based technology, including DJI fleet and data capture for 3D photogrammetry. They will also be familiar with the use of Elios and DI Scout UAV for internal inspections and possess qualifications in asset inspection.

This is a permanent position based in the United Kingdom, and the successful candidate must have the right to work permanently in the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct UAV flight operations in compliance with CAA regulations and AUAV operational authority.
  • Maintain UAVs in the field and ensure all work scope is carried out according to method statements and job risk assessments.
  • Support Senior Remote Pilot and Chief Remote Pilot in their roles.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and in line with Client/HSE requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year's experience in Oil & Gas, Visual Inspection, or Surveying/photogrammetry.
  • Strong knowledge of Client/HSE requirements and commercially available reporting software.
  • Experience in computer-based technology, including DJI fleet and data capture for 3D photogrammetry.
  • Familiarity with the use of Elios and DI Scout UAV for internal inspections.
  • Qualifications in asset inspection.
  • A good understanding of client and HSE requirements for NDT inspection procedures, risk assessments, and COSHH.

Salary: The salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
