Director of Global Quality Assurance and Compliance

Abbott is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Global Quality Assurance and Compliance to lead our quality assurance and compliance efforts. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our quality systems and processes meet the highest standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement quality strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Lead the development and maintenance of quality systems, policies, and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams to ensure quality and compliance.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies and industry organizations to stay up-to-date on changing regulations and standards.
- Direct the global audit program, including developing a standard process and implementing audits of manufacturing sites, third-party manufacturers, and quality systems.
- Coordinate corrective action responses to corporate audits and regulatory inspections.
- Manage budgets, staffing, performance reviews, organizational inventory, and personnel development.
- Develop and implement global programs that support the success of the business.
- Evaluate global quality and regulatory compliance and report vulnerability to executive management.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or Business (or equivalent combination of education and work experience).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Regulatory in a company with a medically focused manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of regulations and standards affecting Medical Device manufacturing (e.g., QSR, ISO, EN Quality System Requirements).
- Demonstrated experience with development, implementation, and management of company-wide quality system procedures/practices.
- Minimum 4 years in management of direct resources or cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to work successfully cross-functionally and collaboratively to problem-solve, initiate, and manage projects, influence internal and external groups, and provide leadership from a quality perspective.
- Highly developed written, oral, and interpersonal skills, critical thinking skills, industry practices, current thinking of regulators & Notified Bodies.
Abbott offers a competitive salary range of £102,700.00 – £205,300.00, depending on location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
