Welding & Pipework Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Welding & Pipework Engineer to join our team at Speedy Hire, the UK's leading hire provider. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of our welding and engineering equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test welding and engineering equipment to ensure compliance with Speedy safety standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel, petrol, Tig, and Mig welders, as well as welding fume extractors, electrical pipe threaders, handheld pipe threaders, pipe jointing tools, and crimping tools.
  • Liaise with other engineers, drivers, and the hire desk team to prioritize repairs and maintenance effectively.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to test and repair welding and engineering equipment to the highest standard, ideally gained within the hire industry or similar.
  • NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Technical/engineering background is desirable.
  • Electrical knowledge is desirable.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
