Cummins Inc. is seeking a motivated Placement Student to join our UK Logistics Centre Operations team. As a Placement Student, you will gain hands-on experience in logistics operations and contribute to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement Continuous Improvement opportunities to enhance facility operations.
  • Apply Continuous Improvement and Industrial Engineering techniques to measure processes and quantify improvements.
  • Develop and implement ergonomics projects to improve manual handling processes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional UKLC projects with strategic importance to business transitions or processes.
  • Review and improve current picking and packing processes for production and aftermarket customers.
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions, data analysis, and presenting findings to the leadership team.

Requirements:

  • Currently studying towards a Business/Supply Chain/Logistics/Planning/Statistics degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present confidently to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Solution-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Excel is beneficial.
