Nuclear Safety Professional

The National Nuclear Laboratory is looking for a highly skilled Nuclear Safety Professional to join their team. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced professionals to ensure the safe operation of our facilities.

Duties

Your key duties will include:

  • Providing expert advice on nuclear safety and radiological protection.
  • Developing and implementing procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborating with other teams to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Providing training and guidance to colleagues on nuclear safety best practices.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • City and Guilds Level 1 in Radiation Protection or NVQ Level 2 in Radiation Protection.
  • Experience working in a nuclear facility.
  • Knowledge of Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017, Environmental Permitting Regulations (amended) 2011 & Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • Ability to obtain SC level security clearance.
