Role

The Senior Digital Solutions Consultant position is based in the UK and focuses on business development and retention in the EMEA region. The successful candidate will report directly to the Global Head of Digital Solutions Consulting based in London, UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide digital and technology expertise to support business development teams across asset owners and asset managers in their investment decision-making and oversight, including data, analytics, and technology solutions.
  • Engage in consultative pre-sales and sales activities on front-to-back solutions, operating model design, data integration, and digital tooling.
  • Create innovative, integrated technology solutions that meet client needs.
  • Pitch influential technology demos to clients, prospects, and consultants across business lines.
  • Raise Northern Trust's profile as a market-leading digital provider to the external market.
  • Contribute to Northern Trust's technology-based digital solutions and strategy.
  • Research client needs to provide bespoke digital solutions.
  • Collaborate with the RFP team and Marketing team to ensure a coherent, consistent message is communicated externally regarding Northern Trust's technology offerings.
  • Liaise with the business to drive innovation and promote leading technology in the industry.
  • Stay aware of changing market conditions and track digital and data trends, new market-leading technologies, and tools within the industry to ensure Northern Trust's offerings are relevant and up-to-date.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic sales support for Northern Trust initiatives aimed at expanding and retaining client relationships and business development.
  • Packaging Northern Trust reporting solutions and technological capabilities for a wide array of clients.
  • Provide technical consultancy in the development of formal sales proposals.
  • Partner with Sales Managers and client service team representatives to create strategies directed at prospecting and client engagement meetings.
  • Coordinate technical pre-sales activities, transferring technical specifications and product knowledge to existing and prospective clients through the RFP/RFI process.
  • Proactively investigate ways to differentiate Northern Trust's technology offering from the competition.
  • Devising bespoke, market-leading solutions to enable Northern Trust to have a competitive edge in market tenders and prospect opportunities.
  • Deliver engaging and influential technology demos across the suite of Northern Trust technology applications.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and process information regarding technology-based products.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a holistic, client-focused story that highlights the value to the end-user(s).
  • Demonstrated ability to create a network of contacts while building trust and credibility in the framework of those relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead prospect and client technology roadshows.
  • Knowledge of traditional and alternative assets.
  • Knowledge of industry technology platforms such as Aladdin, Simcorp, CRD, Investran, Burgiss, and data platforms such as Snowflake.
  • A proven self-starter with the energy and passion to continually create new narratives to showcase and articulate the value of a company's brand.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines in a highly regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge around investment strategies and the investment process.
  • A proven track record in sales presentations and demonstration of technologies and tools.
  • Will and ability to devise and deliver a presentation for Senior Leaders during the recruitment process.
  • Will and availability to travel to client meetings, conferences, and roadshows through EMEA.
  • A deep understanding of client functions, needs, and pain points – and potential technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated multi-segment expertise within the financial sector.
  • Multi-product expertise for technology and reporting solutions within the financial sector.
