Procurement Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our Buying Team at Escape Recruitment Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all purchasing requirements and ensuring the timely delivery of parts to meet customers' schedules.

This is a fast-paced role that requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the open order book within the ERP system, placing call-off orders with Suppliers, and monitoring inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including sourcing, negotiating, and expediting orders
  • Work closely with the Warehouse team to understand the receipt and despatch of orders
  • Book and arrange the appropriate inbound/outbound transport requirements
  • Visit supplier sites to build strong relationships and resolve any issues
  • Collaborate with colleagues in manufacturing to ensure smooth operations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement and expediting in a fast-paced environment
  • ERP/MRP experience
  • Good communication skills and ability to build solid relationships with Suppliers and Colleagues
  • Commercial skills – managing inventory levels to support cash flow
  • Motivated and enthusiastic individual
