Platform Recruitment seeks a highly skilled Leading Mechanical Design Expert to contribute to the growth of their product development team in Cambridge, UK.

About the Job:
  • Create and develop innovative product designs from early-stage concepts to production-ready solutions.
  • Utilise expertise in 3D CAD software and design for manufacture principles to optimise product design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Mentor junior engineers to enhance skillset and deliver high-quality results.
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., mechanical, aerospace, or mechatronics).
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and experience with precision mechanism design.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing experience in developing new products and advanced technologies.
  • Familiarity with a range of manufacturing techniques and experience with prototype creation.
  • Experience working in industries like machinery, medical devices, consumer goods, or energy sectors is beneficial.
Compensation Package:

A salary of £70,000-£85,000 per year, based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
