Graduate or Trainee Quantity Surveyor - Housing

We are seeking a talented Graduate or Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Leicester. Our client is a well-established family firm with a strong commitment to the local community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the Commercial Manager
  • Office-based with site travels as required
  • Further details can be discussed
Requirements:
  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full driving license
  • Long-term career aspirations
Main Duties:
  • Carrying out site measures in liaison with the Surveyor
  • Producing labour-only rates and maintaining databases
  • Assisting with pricing of non-standard client extras and updating Cost of Sales
  • Updating build completion dates and paying designated invoices
  • Site booking administration and liaison with Site Surveyor and Payroll
  • Producing a Sub-contract / Material Supplier database
  • Complying with company policies and procedures
Essential Skills:
  • Awareness of construction methods and Health & Safety requirements
  • Construction-related qualification with a Quantity Surveying bias
  • Knowledge of contract law and construction techniques
  • Computer literacy in valuation systems
