Job Title: Assistant Headteacher with SEND Experience

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Headteacher with a strong background in Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) to join our team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading teaching staff to provide the best outcomes for secondary-aged children with SEND. They will be responsible for developing and implementing a creative approach to the curriculum, with a focus on pathway curriculum.

The ideal candidate will have experience of monitoring provision and outcomes, maintaining relevant documentation, and analyzing data to present outcomes. They will also have the ability to coach, mentor, and support colleagues, embedding excellent practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a creative approach to the curriculum, with a focus on pathway curriculum
  • Lead teaching staff to provide the best outcomes for secondary-aged children with SEND
  • Monitor provision and outcomes, maintaining relevant documentation
  • Analyze data to present outcomes
  • Coach, mentor, and support colleagues, embedding excellent practice
