Mustard Systems is a dynamic statistical consultancy company with a team of 45 experts specialising in the modelling of sporting events. Our research applications span multiple sectors, including betting, insurance, finance, media, and sports coaching. We strive to predict sports as accurately as possible by combining large datasets with our in-house software and statistical models.

In the coming year, we will focus on expanding our trading strategies and data feeds. This will involve:

  • Expanding the number of sports and markets we cover
  • Scaling up our price feed infrastructure to cover many more sports, markets, and customers
  • Improving the traders' visibility of our systems' activity to provide more insight into their operation

You will play a key role in improving our systems, working closely with our users, who are quantitative analysts and sports traders. They provide intelligent feedback, and you will have the opportunity to work independently and take on responsibility for our trading strategies and price feeds from inception to delivery.

Our technology stack includes:

  • Python (mainly 3.5+) for new projects and 2.7 in some legacy systems
  • Go for infrastructure services
  • Linux servers
  • PostgreSQL for data storage
  • ZeroMQ and RabbitMQ for backend communication
  • jQuery, React, and vue.js for the frontend

You will have the opportunity to explore your own ideas and suggest new tools. We are open to using the best solution for each problem, whether it's a standard library, a third-party tool, or a custom implementation.

Senior Software Developer Experience

You will need 3+ years of commercial experience. A software development background is preferred, and mathematical and numerical skills are a bonus. As part of the application process, you will be asked to take an online coding test.
