Sexual Health Manager

TPP Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Sexual Health Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for managing a sexual health service and leading a team of 5 professionals who deliver sexual health education and prevention services.

The successful candidate will work closely with the NHS, pharmacies, and the community to ensure better sexual health outcomes. The services overseen by this role will include the condom distribution scheme, the National Chlamydia Screening program, and training and education to support local schools and colleges.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing leadership and management of the education and prevention in sexual health.
  • Leading, motivating, and supporting the team to develop their knowledge and skills, as well as supporting and directing the team.
  • Employing good project management skills, ensuring that all contracted services remain on track.
  • Leading on the delivery of outreach in the area, targeting vulnerable or at-risk groups, including LGBTQ+ individuals, speakers of other languages, young people, and those living in economically deprived areas.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 3 years of experience managing, leading, and motivating a diverse team.
  • Experience or a degree in healthcare, health education, or youth work.
  • Experience working within sexual health or young people's services.
  • A thorough understanding of issues facing diverse groups of people, particularly speakers of other languages, LGBTQ+ individuals, women, and young people.
