Investment Data Analyst - Hedge Fund

We are seeking an experienced Investment Data Analyst to join our high-performing team in London. As an Investment Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our investment strategies across multiple asset classes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Fund and Benchmark Return Analysis: Lead the sign-off process for over 300 funds and benchmark returns, ensuring data accuracy across systems like Aladdin and FactSet.
  2. Performance Attribution: Manage and produce monthly performance attribution analysis across Equity, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset, and Long/Short funds, illustrating asset allocation and security selection.
  3. Daily Performance Support: Deliver daily desk analysis for portfolio managers, providing insights and responding to queries related to fund performance.
  4. Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor cash and portfolio holdings to assess the impact of economic events on fund performance and report findings to the investment team.
  5. Monthly Reporting: Produce detailed monthly fund reports, covering asset and security-level performance, best/worst performers, and comparisons with previous reporting periods.
  6. Project Leadership: Lead and support key projects, including system implementations (e.g., Aladdin), ensuring smooth transitions and data integrity.
Requirements:
  1. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  2. Experience: 1-2 years in investment performance analysis, investment data analysis, or a related role within the financial services industry, preferably in hedge funds or asset management.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Aladdin Dash, FactSet, and advanced Excel skills (including VBA for process automation).
  4. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and multi-asset funds.
  5. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to senior stakeholders clearly.
