Company Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT leader to join our dynamic and forward-thinking company as the Head of IT. This role is pivotal in overseeing all IT functions, ensuring that systems and applications align with business objectives while maintaining the highest standards of security and efficiency.

Job Purpose

The Head of IT will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the company's IT infrastructure. This individual will ensure that all IT systems meet the business's needs and will lead efforts to enhance security, drive cloud adoption, and develop bespoke applications using low code tools.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the IT strategy, ensuring it aligns with best practices and supports the company's long-term goals.
  2. Operational Planning: Create robust IT plans that guarantee the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IT systems.
  3. Cloud and Application Development: Guide the company's journey towards cloud adoption and oversee the development of custom applications.
  4. IT Security: Lead efforts to maintain and enhance the IT security posture, working towards compliance with standards such as CMMC or ISO 27001.
  5. Team Management: Manage and motivate the IT team, including direct oversight of the Infrastructure & Security Manager and Service Delivery Manager.
  6. Escalation Point: Act as the final escalation point for IT-related matters within the business.
  7. Cost Control: Enhance the monitoring of IT expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  8. Project Management: Take on project management responsibilities for significant IT projects.
  9. Experience in overseeing IT projects from start to finish.
  10. Strong skills in identifying and mitigating IT-related risks, including cybersecurity threats.
  11. Familiarity with data security, privacy, and IT governance regulations.
