Job Title: Human Factors Engineer

Leonardo SpA is seeking a skilled Human Factors Engineer to join our team. As a Human Factors Engineer, you will apply human performance principles, methodologies, and technologies to the design of human-machine systems, products, and workstations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure human factors principles are adopted throughout design and that human-machine interfaces are optimal.
  • Conduct user and human factors working groups, user trials, and evaluations, and contribute to technical meetings with customers and suppliers.
  • Manage the user-centered design process on assigned programs.
  • Develop human factors integration plans, HF strategies, and cost estimates for bids and proposals.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a related subject (e.g., Human Factors, Ergonomics, Product Design, Psychology).
  • Experience using human factors methodologies in a consultative, engineering, defense, or product design environment.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues, topics, and engineering principles and practices to a wide range of audiences.
Desirable Skills:
  • Awareness of agile development methodologies.
  • Agile human factors engineering: apply and develop knowledge of human factors engineering in a fast-paced and dynamic agile development team.
