Job Description

A leading global manufacturing company based in Cardiff is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Professional to join their Finance team on a permanent basis.

This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and involve working closely with external stakeholders and internal colleagues to drive business success.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, treasury, and tax, with experience in preparing consolidated financial statements and reports in line with FRS 102 or IFRS.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the Group's treasury function in accordance with Treasury Policy
  • Directing day-to-day banking relationships and ensuring cash flow objectives are met
  • Coordinating and managing currency policies for the Group
  • Formulating and implementing the group taxation strategy, including transfer pricing strategy
  • Liaising with finance managers, tax auditors, and consultants on annual corporation tax computations and deferred tax schedules

The successful candidate will be a professionally qualified accountant with post-qualification experience at financial accountant level in a manufacturing environment.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Professionally qualified accountant with experience in a large accountancy firm
  • Post-qualification experience as a financial accountant in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with clients with international operations and hands-on experience in preparing consolidated financial statements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including knowledge of computer-based presentation software
