Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in Thetford, Norfolk. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the organisation's equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan to prevent equipment downtime
  2. Establish and maintain effective maintenance policies and procedures
  3. Supervise Maintenance Technicians in the execution of planned maintenance tasks
  4. Conduct regular quality checks to identify potential maintenance needs
  5. Respond to emergency maintenance situations to minimize equipment downtime
  6. Manage the maintenance budget to optimize resource allocation
  7. Maintain accurate records of preventive and emergency maintenance activities
  8. Ensure compliance with safety regulations during maintenance operations
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven mechanical maintenance experience with a strong understanding of production schedules
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Time-served engineer with the capacity to multitask and adapt to changing circumstances
Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess strong maintenance and engineering skills, with experience in production schedules, preventative and reactive maintenance. A strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance is also essential.
