At the heart of our hygiene operation is a crucial role that requires exceptional leadership skills: the Waste Management Team Lead. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for guiding a team of colleagues to achieve outstanding results and service levels.

This esteemed individual serves as a bridge between frontline colleagues and depot management, ensuring seamless communication and effective implementation of company strategies and objectives.

  • Take ownership of your area, overseeing day-to-day operations, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding new team members.
  • Implement training initiatives to keep team members up-to-date on new products, customer requirements, best practices, and company policies.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality delivery.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve performance and productivity within the team.
  3. Maintain open communication channels with managers, drivers, HR, L&D, and Health and Safety Teams.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Previous training or coaching experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrate excellent Service Delivery and Driving skills.
  • Hold a valid Full UK manual Driving License for a minimum of 12 months (subject to insurance requirements), with a maximum of 6 points.
  • Meet the requirements of an enhanced DBS check.
  • Undergo vaccinations against Hepatitis B, tetanus/polio.
