Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and oversee a high-end grade 2 listed building conversion project in York. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercial construction professional to work on a prestigious development with a strong focus on luxury accommodation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercially manage the project from start to finish, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and budget targets.
  • Carry out site measures, variations, and site meetings to ensure accurate cost management and minimize delays.
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier approvals and procurement processes to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Prepare and issue contracts, as well as produce Cost Value Reports (CVRs) to track project expenditure.
  • Reconcile invoices and approve payments to maintain financial transparency and control.
  • Prepare and submit accounts to stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and performance.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, with a strong background in commercial construction and project management.
  • Degree-level qualification is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Strong IT and numerical proficiency, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid UK driving license and ability to travel to sites as required.

Estimated Salary Range: £62,500 - £82,000 per annum
