Role Overview:

The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as the principal Site Supervisor for a significant new industrial construction project. This role involves overseeing the project from inception to completion, ensuring that all site operations are executed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Develop and manage long-term, mid-term, and short-term work schedules;
  • Collaborate with the design team to facilitate design modifications;
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior site management staff;
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards;
  • Review and approve method statements and risk assessments;
  • Coordinate the logistics of material deliveries and waste management;
  • Implement quality control measures, including inspections and testing;
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines;
  • Engage with end users, maintaining regular contact with stakeholders;
  • Conduct coordination meetings with subcontractors and project teams;
  • Provide progress reports and address any issues that arise;
  • Manage snagging processes and facilitate project handover.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a proactive attitude, demonstrating exceptional technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. A proven history of working with UK-based commercial contractors is preferred, particularly in industrial construction.

Experience in managing structural and core elements of industrial and commercial buildings is advantageous. Candidates with a background in trades, construction management, or engineering, along with a keen eye for detail, will be well-suited for this role.

A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is beneficial but not mandatory, provided the candidate has relevant experience.
