Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced English Teacher to join our team at a specialist ASD school in Merton. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, marking students' work, and providing 1:1 support where needed.
About the School
The school is an all-through specialist school for students with high-functioning Autism, offering a supportive and nurturing environment with small class sizes and a range of extra-curricular activities. With an Ofsted rating of Good, the school prioritizes inclusivity and differentiation, utilizing visual supports to enhance student learning.
Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must hold QTS and have experience working with Autism and SEMH needs. A strong understanding of educational best practices and the ability to adapt lesson plans to meet individual students' needs are essential. Regular communication with the Head of Department and other teaching staff is also crucial.
