Key Responsibilities
  • Attend Court and Police Stations: Represent clients in court and police stations, ensuring their rights are protected and their interests are represented.
  • Provide Informed Legal Advice: Offer expert legal advice to clients, taking into account their individual circumstances and needs.
  • Liaise with Legal Counsel: Work closely with legal counsel to ensure that clients receive the best possible representation.
  • Conduct Legal Research: Conduct thorough research to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in criminal law.
  • Take Detailed Notes: Take accurate and detailed notes of meetings with clients and counsel.
  • Draft Legal Documents: Draft and review legal documents, ensuring that they are accurate and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Train and Mentor: Work with the wider legal team to train and mentor junior solicitors and paralegals.
Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor: Must be a qualified Solicitor with a strong background in criminal law.
  • Experience: Must have previous experience of dealing with criminal law and/or immigration law cases.
  • Communication Skills: Must have excellent communication skills and experience in building strong client relationships.
  • Commercial Awareness: Must have strong commercial awareness and the ability to problem-solve.
