Requirements
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teaching assistant to provide one-to-one support for a child with an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) and Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND).
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing direct learning and well-being support to the child
- Working with the child on specific activities, as directed by teaching staff and using their own initiative
- Preparing classroom materials tailored to the individual child's needs
- Monitoring and regularly feeding back on the child's learning and well-being
- Setting out equipment as required and putting it away after use
- Undertaking non-teaching tasks to assist the child during lessons, as directed
- Assisting the child with toileting and personal hygiene, as necessary
- Attending Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and working closely with external agencies
- Liaising with other staff members and stakeholders to promote and deliver the best possible provision and outcomes for the child
