Job Title: Air Conditioning Engineer

This role is responsible for the maintenance and repair of air conditioning systems, as well as other mechanical and electrical systems on site. The ideal candidate will have a multi-discipline approach and be able to work at heights, in a commercial and public setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out installation and servicing of air conditioning units in various environments
  • Plan, inspect, and carry out repairs or preventative general maintenance as required and respond to breakdowns
  • Carry out statutory inspection of assets, including emergency lighting, water temperature checks, fire door inspections and repairs, plumbing repairs, lighting checks, and other minor reactive works
  • Provide technical guidance to clients and contract support
  • Monitor BMS controls
  • Pressure vessels, pressurization units, and pumps
  • Humidifiers
  • Carry out basic 'first response' janitor duties as required
  • Weekly testing of alarm and security systems to ensure adherence to fire and health and safety legislation
  • Liaise with the helpdesk to ensure tasks are completed in a timely fashion
  • Be available to attend planned events outside of normal hours as required
  • Ensure all documentation is maintained to a fully auditable standard required by the client and third-party accreditation standards

Requirements:

  • Applicant must have the right to work in the UK
  • C&G qualified level 2 minimum in 2079 (F-Gas and ODS regulations) & 6187 (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning)
  • IT literate using Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
  • Must hold a full UK driving license as use of a company vehicle may be required
  • Ability to effectively work under pressure
  • Ability to diagnose faults and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of integrated CAFM systems and handheld PDA's
