We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Cardiology Specialist Nurse to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to work in our newly developed Cardiology SDEC, where you will be part of a dynamic team delivering high-quality care to cardiac patients with a range of cardiology conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care, including discharge planning for each patient.
- Safeguard vulnerable adults and assist in the training and development of student nurses and healthcare assistants.
- Contribute to the setting and monitoring of measurable standards of care and be accountable for maintaining standards.
- Participate in handling complaints in accordance with Trust policy.
- Maintain a safe, clean ward environment and ensure all appropriate general risk assessments are carried out within 24 hours of admission.
- Registered General Nurse with experience in cardiology nursing, preferably within Cardiology or Critical Care or A&E.
- Ability to work flexibly within the team over a 5-day period, Monday to Friday, 08:00-20:00.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
- Knowledge of budgeting and exercising care and economy in the ordering and use of equipment.
